Our Story
1908
Ebenezers Coffeehouse was originally built as a one-level diner.
1909
Construction was completed and cost about $2,000. The diner, named Reuter's Diner, originally served “butter and eggs” to the Union Station travelers before food service was available on the trains.
1977
Reuter's Diner moved to a new location and the building was abandoned.
25 Years ....
The building was neglected for 25 years
2003
The property was successfully rezoned from residential to commercial.
2004
Architectural plans were approved by DC's Historic Preservation Review Board.
Today
