Common Questions
Do you have open wireless access to the Internet? Is it free?
Yes.
We do have public wi-fi service available for all coffeehouse patrons. Unlike the coffee, the wi-fi service is FREE. (Don’t worry, the coffee isn’t very expensive either.)
Our service provider is DC Access. They are an ISP that manages wireless access all over the Hill. They do residential service, so you can get hooked up—even though there isn’t much hooking up involved with no actual connections.
As with any “open” access point, you should be aware of common precautions to maintain secure data travel. If you have any concerns or questions about using an open wi-fi connection, contact Ebenezers’ network administrator David Russell at 202/544-0414.
Is parking available at Ebenezers?
Yes.
There is as much street parking as you can handle. If you are not a resident of DC’s Zone 6, you’ll have a two-hour time limit. There is also metered parking available. (There is plenty of non-metered parking though.) We want you to stay longer than two hours, but we won’t pay any of your parking tickets. Metered parking and Zone 6 regulations are in effect Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 8:30 pm.
There is a small driveway next to Ebenezers. It looks a lot like a parking pad, because it is a parking pad. Unfortunately, it is not for use by Ebenezers patrons. If you do want to park there, you can make a $1,000 donation to Ebenezers. We’d love to work something out for you. After all, it is coffee with a cause.
